NBA Rumor: Milwaukee Bucks Close to Bringing Back John Salmons?
According to ESPN.com the Milwaukee Bucks and John Salmons appear close to reaching a long-term contract agreement.
This is interesting for two reasons: First, because Salmons hasn’t been a free agent for more than two weeks, and second, because Milwaukee just landed Corey Maggette and Chris Douglas-Roberts in trades with the New Jersey Nets and Golden State Warriors.
However, as odd as it all may seem, this could just be another piece in the enigmatic (yet entertaining, and possibly effective) puzzle that the Bucks’ front office has compiled.
Perhaps a starting line-up of Brandon Jennings, John Salmons, Corey Maggette, Andrew Bogut, and a yet-to-be-determined power forward? Perhaps, yes.
We won’t take a guess at who the power forward could be just yet, but it’s interesting to think of what the line-up could be if Salmons could effectively (and consistently) man the shooting guard spot.
Regardless, the signing isn’t official, so stay tuned.
