Tracy McGrady Replaces Rodney Stuckey in Detroit’s Starting Lineup
Tracy McGrady started at point guard for the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, while usual starting point guard Rodney Stuckey came off the bench.
This came after McGrady was stuck in street clothes for five straight games. While nobody can yet put their finger on why this is happening, it’s worth noting that McGrady did shine in his start, putting up 15 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds.
According to Pistons head coach John Kuester, the switch may be permanent.
Fantasy Outlook: Ho-ly crap. The Pistons really have lost their minds. Well, at least Kuester is. They’re starting a seemingly washed up guard/forward at the point over a guy who many viewed as a huge piece of the team’s future. The move gives McGrady solid fantasy value, while it has to negatively impact Stuckey’s. We wouldn’t advise using either with booming confidence until you see some real consistency.
